Treasure Hunters

Title: Treasure Hunters

Author: James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein

Published: 2013

Pages: 451

Four parent-less children aboard a ship headed to the Grand Caymon in search of lost treasure...this should be interesting!  Tommy, Storm, Bick, and Beck know their mother is missing, but when a hurricane comes through and tosses their ship around like a bobbed apple, their father turns up missing as well.

Their ship, which is named The Lost, is a little beaten up but still sea worthy.  As Bick aptly points out, "I guess we should be glad Dad didn't name his boat The Sunk, The Drowned, or Titanic II."

The four home-schooled (or shall I say boat-schooled?) kids are intelligent, well-rounded, and know how to survive.  The oldest, Tailspin Tommy, is seventeen and cares a lot about appearances...mainly his.  Storm, a few years younger, is socially awkward but very smart.  The boy and girl twins, Bick and Beck, may be the youngest but they are very capable.  Bick is writing this tale, and Beck is illustrating it.  They are quite the duo.  Watch out when they start getting into their twin tirades!  Always heated but brief, their tirades are laugh out loud funny!

So what will become of these new orphans of the sea?  Will they be able to continue searching for their dad's To Do List of lost treasures?  Will they see their parents again one day?  Find out in this loaded up treasure chest of a book.  This book is filled with humor, culture, art, mystery, pirates, and even a few international spies spilled in for good measure!  Hope you enjoy!

xoxo,
Kelly
