Title: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Author: Mark Twain
Published: 1876
Pages: 256
This is another of the many books I probably should have read when I was growing up. I'm glad I finally got around to it...reading the book that is.
Mark Twain's masterpiece of Tom Sawyer has entertained children and adults for over a hundred years. The God-fearing, adventurous boy Tom Sawyer has only one thing on his mind...doing pretty much anything to get out of school. He also manages to rope his friends into some crazy antics too.
The poor Aunt Polly's prayer life certainly improved since taking in little Tom after his mother passed away. The book actually starts out with her shouting, "Tom!"
Tom's adventures include everything a young boy could get into and much more. What other boy besides him would possibly bring a bug in his pocket...to church! Follow along as he bribes his friends to do his chores, witnesses a murder in a graveyard, and gets trapped in a cave. Hope you enjoy it if you haven't already!

Kelly
