This is a book I checked out a few years ago when Lance was a baby, and it really got me hooked on reading children's books. Some of the later books in the series didn't really interest me, but this one was really enjoyable.
Sabrina and Daphne, who are descendants of the Brothers Grimm, are sent to live with Granny Relda. They learn right away that things are going to be quite different. Even the food they were served was very queer..."The noodles were black and the sauce was a bright orange color. It smelled both sweet and spicy at the same time, and the meatballs, which were emerald green, were surely not made from any kind of meat Sabrina had ever had."
If the girls thought dinner was strange, that was just the beginning! They start finding out more clues to their mysterious family's past. It doesn't really help matters that there is now a giant running about the town! Could some of the bedtime stories they knew growing up really be true? The two sleuths will have some major detective work on their hands now.
Ride along on this fast-passed journey with Sabrina and Daphne. You'll be glad you did!
xoxo,
Kelly
