Tumtum & Nutmeg

Title:  Tumtum & Nutmeg, Adventures Beyond Nutmouse Hall

Author:  Stories by Emily Bearn, Pictures by Nick Price

Published: 2009

Pages: 503

I don't even know where to begin with this book.  Let me first just say that this one got me through a rough couple of weeks...it is sort of long you know!  This charming book that is made up of three stories, was just one of those that you don't want to ever end.

The first story titled Tumtum and Nutmeg sets the stage for Nutmouse Hall, the mouse sized mansion located behind a dresser that is too heavy for anyone to move.  Mr. Mildew owns Rose Cottage which Nutmouse Hall is a small part of.  He has two children named Arthur and Lucy, who think there is a fairy lurking about that cleans up after them and repairs their smaller toys.  Little do they know that it is actually Tumtum and Nutmeg.

When Aunt Ivy, who the kids don't like, comes to visit things get really interesting.  She has a great fear of mice, and will do just about anything to get rid of them.  Tumtum and Nutmeg's friend General Marchmouse, who is always wanting to wage war, arrives into the tale and things get even crazier!

Follow along the three stories of Tumtum and Nutmeg, The Great Escape, and The Pirates' Treasure.  Hope you enjoy!

xoxo,
Kelly
