Tumtum & Nutmeg, The Rose Cottage Tales

Title: Tumtum & Nutmeg, The Rose Cottage Tales

Author: Emily Bearn, with pictures by Nick Price

Published: 2009

Pages: 416

I am proud to write that I read this entire book...all 398 pages to the kids out loud.  Although I set out to always do this, I usually get so wrapped up in the children's books that I find myself reading them at ten o'clock at night after they have fallen asleep!  Now that I have read quite a bit of children's literature, I'm getting to a better place where I can share it with the kids...lol!  Hey, what can I say?  I didn't really read anything when I was growing up, so I'm making up for lost time!

It was long, but very delightful.  Of course the Tumtum & Nutmeg books have a special place in my heart because that is what I was reading when I brought Clarice home from the hospital.  You can find my review of that other book here.

The Rose Cottage Tales is made up of three stories: A Christmas Adventure, A Seaside Surprise, and A Circus Adventure.  All three were just too cute!  And it doesn't take long to predict that Tumtum and Nutmeg although not wanting to get roped into any more adventures, always find their way coming to rescue General Marchmouse.  What is the General up to this time, and will these sweet mice be able to save Christmas?  Find out in these enjoyable tales!

xoxo,
Kelly
